My approach to nutrition and lifestyle coaching for over 40s is not about forcing you to go on unenjoyable diets and rigorous exercise programmes.

Instead, I analyse and interpret how your nutrition and lifestyle is affecting your health. We will then co-create a nutrition plan that empowers you to reach your personal goals.

I will never force you down a road you don’t like. Having struggled with weight loss, menopause and energy problems myself, I know how important it is to devise a personalised nutrition plan that suits your lifestyle and preferences – not someone else’s. Make Your Perfect Weight Your Normal Weight

You and I both know the pain of going on a diet and losing some weight, only to put the weight back on again. The question is, how do you maintain an ideal weight for more than a few months? By taking matters into your own hands, of course! The four aforementioned points are all about creating a unique plan that you feel comfortable with – one that empowers you and you alone to take control of your lifestyle and nutrition. A plan in your hands is a plan you can control!

How We Will Work Together

Step 1

Discovery

To start with, I will learn about your daily eating and drinking habits during our initial consultation as well as through a comprehensive questionnaire that includes filling in a three-day diet log. This gives me an initial impression of your nutrition and lifestyle and how it might be influencing your weight, energy and stress levels. We will come up with a personalised plan later, but this first chat helps me understand the type of help you need. I also encourage you to tell me your nutrition likes and dislikes, what works for you, and what your long-term weight loss goals are.

Step 2

Analysis

After completing the questionnaire and having our first chat, I will enter everything into “Nutritics” software to get a full scientific report on the macronutrients and micronutrients of what you eat. This helps me understand what you are having too much or too little of, and how it affects different processes within your body. I will look at the toxins and antinutrients in what you eat, how it affects bioavailability, whether you are exposed to environmental toxins, what cooking methods and oils you use, and so on. In addition, I will also do a body composition analysis, learning where you stand in terms of BMI, so that we know exactly what needs to be done to bring you back to your particular desired weight. Body composition analysis is key to learning your ideal daily calorie intake (believe it or not, many don’t get in the calories they need every day!). Doing such deep analysis helps us craft a nutrition and lifestyle plan specifically for you.

Step 3

Plan

Based on the findings of my analysis and your personal aims, I will use my nutrition expertise to identify a few areas of focus that would best help you achieve your goals. You will be given a list of nutrition and lifestyle recommendations, and it’s totally up to you to decide which recommendations you go with and which ones you ignore. We will establish a “readiness to change” range and review potential barriers or challenges. Every part of the plan has to be agreed together. Remember, I’m your ally, not your boss! I will never set you deadlines or dates. We will go through each step together, with me giving you the exact level support and motivation you need.

Step 4

Follow Ups

The steps we take together will be frequently monitored, so you can track your progress. That feeling of improving a little bit each day is so powerful! You will feel incredible seeing your results change over time. We will have regular follow-ups and review where we stand, and what comes next. If needed, we can make some tweaks to your programme so that it better suits your goals.
